Tavern / Bar Liability
The Law Offices of Sabato DeVito, P.A. represents injured people in actions against bars, taverns and others who negligently or carelessly provide alcohol to minors or people who are known to be addicted to alcohol.
Florida’s liquor liability law, known as the Dram Shop Act, generally shields bars and others from liability for injury or damage caused by a person’s intoxication when selling or furnishing alcohol to someone who is of the legal drinking age.
However, when the person is underage or a “habitual drunkard,” our attorneys can help injured people or their families pursue claims against the bar, tavern owner, nightclub, property owner, sports stadium, liquor store, employee, homeowner or others who either failed to check ID, failed to notice the person was drunk or otherwise was negligent in providing alcohol.
The Law Offices of Sabato DeVito, P.A. advocates for the injured in Hernando, Citrus and Pasco Counties and throughout Florida.
